Come On Kid This Is Your Dream

Can you remember your first dream? The first taste of your imagination creating your future. You saw it coming true so easily. Then what happened? Did it start to look impossible? Too hard? Too many obstacles? Or did no one believe in you? Were you told that you weren't talented enough? Maybe you were told you weren't pretty enough or maybe you were bullied out of your dream because it wasn't the "cool" thing. Whatever the reason, it created a chain reaction of doubt and insecurity. It allowed you to become distracted and soon enough you forgot about your dream all together. Growing up petite and being a tomboy running always appealed to me. It was a rush running in the wind as fast as I could, I felt like nothing could catch me and nothing could stop me. I was used to being picked on for my small height and body but seeing the comparison in the olympic runners I began to create a dream. A dream of becoming just like them. I started to run every chance I could, whether it was racing against my father, at school during P.E , I took everything as a challenge of endurance. It wasn't long until I reached middle school, 7th grade. It was a new city, a new school, and I was hesitant about meeting new people. I grew up moving schools constantly, but something about this move made me uneasy. As time passed I made new friends and things started to feel back to normal, but I didn't continue putting running as my dream. P.E came everyday and I was excited about it until I started to hear "jokes" about my body and how undeveloped it was against the other girls in class. I started to get teased for participating in P.e. It wasn't a great feeling moving to a new school and now being judged. It wasn't the "cool" thing to run and participate in class, so what did I do the only thing that seemed right at the time and that was to stop participating, to stop running so no one saw my slow developed body, it also created a tougher girl who built a wall of attitude to keep anyone from hurting her feelings again. I took my eyes off of my dream and focused it on approval of others and what was in with the crowd. Now I'm 25 years old and I never returned to running. Working out has been a struggle because I lack motivation and endurance. This morning I decided to get up and run and that's when this blog topic was set and created in my heart. God knew all along that I wasn't going to be an olympic runner but he knew that stage in my life would breathe life into words. So now I will run for as long as I can, I will run without fear of other's judgements, and back onto the path I walked away from. I will have running as a part of my life again and I will enjoy every moment of it. Do not let the words of others tell you that your dream is too great or that you are unqualified. Do not hold discouraging words in your heart, they do not know what you are capable of, But God does. God knows it and that's why he put it in your heart. It's the whispers we hear in our minds and the love we feel in our hearts guiding us to set our dreams into motion. Have faith and believe. Not all dreams come true but all dreams lead us to where God wants us to be. Not all blessings are beautiful some are in disguise and you can always find your way back onto the rightful path.

A LITTLE WORSHIP NEVER HURT

I PRAY YOU REMEMBER THE DREAM OTHERS TOOK AWAY OR YOU GAVE UP ON. IT’S NEVER TOO LATE TO START AGAIN OR CHANGE YOUR DREAM TO FIT WHO YOU ARE TODAY. ANY HURT YOU EXPERIENCED RELEASE IT FROM YOUR BODY. FORGOT THE WORDS OF OTHERS AND FOCUS ON YOUR WORDS AND GOD’S WORDS. HE LOVES YOU MORE THAN YOU KNOW AND WANTS TO GIVE YOU WHAT IS N YOUR HEART.
