Standing In Your Truth
Theres so many things we all do in our lives that we believe defines us, we beat ourselves up about it believing we do not deserve forgiveness. Our disappointment turns into bitterness and critism when all we needed to do was let go and forgive ourselves. It's not about the mistakes we make that define who we are, it's not about how many times we repeat our sins. In the end it's about how we admitted to our wrongs. It's about how we continued to pray after each sin and confess we want a better way. Admitting our faults is what defines us. It shows the strength we have and the honesty in ourselves. It defines that we are imperfect in the way God intended us to be. The truth is what saves us and also what can doom us if we never come to terms with. Growing up i had to learn the hard way about admitting my faults, i tried to cover up my mistakes from God and make excuses for my decisions. In the end i ended up losing the most important things in life including God, myself and my grace. Learning how to stand in your truth in every area in your life isn't always easy but with God's guidance and truthful surroundings it will be done.
If you are learning to stand in your truth and don't know how to begin, start with this simple prayer.
Dear Lord I ask you to forgive my sins, all the lies i have told and the people I have hurt I ask you bring healing and clarity to them. I ask you to let no foulness come out of my mouth but only uplifting words and my truth. May you give me the courage to live each day as if my last. In Jesus name.
We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.
(1 John 4:6)
Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place. (Ephesians 6:14)
A little worship never hurt
This song represents how we all struggle to face our truths and how we all are broken. Do not feel alone in your struggle we all have walls we have built to create a version we believe people want to see. If we are honest we attract honest people, if we are broken we can heal together. Let go of what you are pretending to be, and stop being afraid to get caught. There is freedom waiting for you.
