Material & Physical Envious

Do you want to be a soul on fire for the Lord or do you want to be a servant of all things that come to an end? In today's society everything has been made into focusing on what we have here and not what we already have in heaven. The designer bags, the brand clothes, the bigger the house and shiner the car is what most people want to define them. The closeness between two friends and feeling lack of closeness with them. Being jealous of a connection two people have and wanting to feel more important. The amount of likes on social media and the amount of compliments people get about what appears to be a "perfect marriage" or relationship. All that is now will not be once we perish. Do not focus on the materials that keep you a prisoner to this earthly laws. Theres more to who we are than the things we buy and who we are online. Envious is the enemies greatest weapon in today's world. We want what each other have. We want the marriage someone else is in and it leads to lack of respect of being neighborly. It creates a monster within from the moment you let envy in. You can not be happy for anyone including yourself when your heart holds jealously and bitterness. You must be happy for others to attrack true happiness for yourself. The happy marriage you admire may not be as perfect as you believe. The designer items may not be the proof of hard work from someone but the handouts they receive from others. My husband and I have went through a hell on earth to stand were we are today. We are no means the couple to admire but we are living proof with God, communication, forgiveness, counseling and reckless love that any miracle is possible. We are living proof without envy for others that good may come down on us. We learned to want what God has given us and want no more than what awaits us. The question I always get asked is "how?..how did you guys make it?" It's simple we stopped comparing our life to others. We stopped seeing the outside of other relationships and focused on what we truly want from each other. We no longer want what anyone else has, we no longer believe any one else has a better marriage than ours because of the honest bond we have. We created a great respect for each other because we respect God first. You can keep chasing the material life. You can keep chasing to be like someone you were never meant to be and never receive what God truly has in store for you. God's blessings are greater than anything you have in mind. He sees your heart, all your want and needs but it is blocked with your envy. You must live for your eternal life and not for the life you are in now.

Dear Lord I ask you take away the envy I feel. I ask you to transform me into a loving heart who wants to see others happy. I know my life is in your hands and timing. I want to earn and deserve all of your blessings. May you take away my insecurities and wash them away with The Holy Spirit, make me a well of your love. In Jesus name.

And I saw that all toil and all achievement spring from one person's envy of another. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind. (Ecclesiastes 4:4)

A little worship never hurt

This song is a true reflection of one self. It shows us the only person holding us back is ourselves. Many times we never realize we are our own enemies. We believe the way we live our life is the correct way and every one else's is wrong. We judge and blame others and never look in the mirror and reflect. If we want change we must first be the change.
